An enormous amount of time an energy has gone into the development of our new C8 exhaust line. We have taken everything we have learned over the last 30 years in the performance exhaust and racing industry and put it into the design of the exhaust for the C8 Corvette. This is my personal car, as I wanted to be sure we devote the proper time into development and testing to make a product that performs and meets the expectations of our customers.
As all of our exhaust, the product is 100% T-304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded. The Bi-Modal Fusion design of the system maintains all the factory NPP capabilities (eco, tour, sport and track mode) and uses our in-house manufactured NPP valve body. We have taken great care to design this valve to exact factory specifications to ensure proper function and durability. The exhaust flow pattern is split in a “Y” design, allowing a full 3″ exhaust flow when the valve is open and 2 1/2″ flow when the valve is closed in touring mode.
The exhaust note from the Fusion system is nothing short of amazing, with an overall deeper, more aggressive tone. In the touring mode with the valve closed, the system is slightly louder than stock with a tone that is great for long drives and cruises. In the sport or track mode, the full 3″ exhaust is engaged with more overall volume a much deeper note. Under acceleration the exhaust will turn heads with a tone you have come to expect from a Billy Boat system. The muffler utilizes our proprietary PRT design, which cancels any resonation which may develop in either open or closed mode.
ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT
The system is designed to mount the Active Fuel Management valves in the factory location and does not affect the car going into 4 cylinder mode. We have deleted the valve AFM itself, and with the PRT design the system does not resonate in 4-cylinder mode and does not set off a CEL. This was a concern in the design and testing of the exhaust, as we know from the C7 that the exhaust note in 4 cylinder mode required the AFM valve.
The C8 exhaust is standard with 5 heat shields that protect the trunk area and engine bay from excessive heat.
EXHAUST TIP OPTIONS
The exhaust will be available in three tip styles ( 4.5″ carbon fiber , 4.5″ polished stainless, and a Speedway tip designed around the shape of the valance much like the C7. The stainless and the Speedway will also have an option to be ceramic coated in black.

FUSION Exhaust – NPP Controlled Bi-Modal…Aggressive when Open, Mild when Closed
Billy Boat Exhaust has designed a Fusion NO-DRONE exhaust for the factory NPP and the non-NPP C7 Corvette. On C7 with the NPP option, the butterfly valve in the exhaust is controlled by the ECU. The valve opens based on RPM and throttle position. Our expertise here at BBE is getting the “tone” right for your Corvette, and we think we nailed this one. Even in the closed position, the tone is deeper, louder, and more aggressive. Open the valves, the overall volume and tone increases to the point heads will turn when you drive up.

PRT Exhaust – Aggressive Sound at Wide-Open-Throttle, Mild sound at cruise
The Billy Boat Exhaust PRT C7 exhaust system is the latest in resonance control technology from BBE. Completely redesigned and reengineered for the C7, the system is simple in design, though more complex in theory. You can now have a mellow NO-DRONE sound at cruising speeds and a sport note when you’re tearing up the streets. It allows true straight through exhaust passage under aggressive driving conditions, though a mellow sound is emitted at cruising speeds thanks to the unique Purge Chamber. Designed especially for the automatic, paddle shift and cars with headers, this Billy Boat Exhaust PRT system works purely on physics and adrenaline. Increases of 15 hp and 14 ft lbs over stock.
BULLET Exhaust – Aggressive Sound
Billy Boat Exhaust has created a deep, healthy exhaust note at low RPMs with an assertive muscle car roar on acceleration. Not for the weak at heart, the Bullet has quickly become the industry standard for a deep, aggressive muscle car sound on the C7. You can see up to 18 rear wheel horse power and 17 ft lbs of torque from the Bullet. Billy Boat Exhaust’s boldest tip style and configuration insures the C7 will scream ”muscle car”.
