Remove Factory Exhaust

With proper installation your new B&B Performance Exhaust system will last a lifetime. While installation of this product is very simple and straightforward, there are a couple areas that need some attention.

) 1- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

2) Loosen the clamps just behind the catalytic convertors and slid them forward. Be careful not to damage the clamps as they will be reused. Remove the cross member located in the middle of the center muffler section. Slightly tip the exhaust system down at the clamp location and pull forward towards the front of the car and remove the exhaust system from the hangers. Lower the exhaust system from the car.

3) Be sure to inspect all gaskets and rubber hangers before installation and replace as necessary.

4) Starting at the front of the car, align the front pipes with the existing pipes and slide the existing clamps onto the new front pipes. Align the x-pipe and clamp in place using the supplied hardware. Align the muffler pipes onto the x-pipe and clamp in place using the supplied hardware. Doing one side at a time slip the mufflers thru the hole in the bumper were the old exhaust system came out of and tip up and slide back into the rubber hangers and front muffler pipes. Clamp in place and repeat for other side. (Note: finger tighten clamps until system is aligned)

5) With the B&B exhaust system “hanging loose,” position each pipe where it has the best center point and begin tightening all hardware as you work back. After tightening all hardware, reinstall the cross member.

6) Reconnect the battery NEG (-) terminal.

7) Start vehicle.

8) With the vehicle running at an idle, check for exhaust leaks at each connection. If there is a leak check that the mounting hardware is tight. If so, check the gasket for wear and replace as necessary.
